Discipleship Journey: Accepting Christ's Love

A Testimony of Christ's Love to the Glory of God and the Good of Others

God is love. Love comes from God. God defines love.

Discipleship

After believing and accepting Jesus as your Savior; then your spiritual journey in Christ begins. By surrending your life to Him daily through prayer, Bible study, and worship; He changes you, causes you to grow spiritually in Him all throughout your life.

Accepting Jesus' Love

On that journey, I've discovered how much I need to surrender to Him daily, focus on Him, and He does the work in my mind and heart to cause me to become aware of His love and acceptance He has for me. Realizing that I can not grow spiritually in my own power; I've learned that instead of striving to grow in my own power, I now realize all I need to do is surrender and trust Him and let Him work in me. And by accepting God's love for me, I'm learning to love myself appropriately, not in a selfish way.

Jesus said, "Love One Another; As I Have Loved You"

And from there the next step is to allow that love from God in me to shine out to others; which is a natural response, not a striving. Jesus said, "my yoke is easy and my burden is light." He does all the work within us and through us, to others. All we need to do is surrender to Him daily.

You Will Find Him When You Seek Him With All Your Heart

Seek Him through real, genuine, heartfelt honesty, with ALL YOUR HEART. Jesus said, "seek me with all your heart and you will find me." This is not dogmatic religion. It's real. It's raw. It's total transparency. Jesus said, "you will find me when you seek me in spirit and in truth." Be truthful. Bring everything to the Light. Jesus is the Light. Bring all your sins to Him and ask for forgiveness. All sins are forgiven in Christ Jesus. And if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior for the forgiveness of your sins, then you can come freely and boldly before the Throne of God, without fear, as a Son or Daughter, loved and accepted by God through Christ Jesus. And when you sin; not if, but when; go immediately to Jesus and ask for forgiveness and be cleansed and then continue on your journey with Him daily for the rest of your life. Growing spiritually in Him. In Spirit and in Truth.

Glory be to God in our Lord Jesus Christ!

Thank you for reading a testimony God put upon my heart to share with others for His Glory.

God bless,
Wendy

Who I Am In Christ - I Am Loved

We are loved by God through our Lord Jesus Christ |  "We love, because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19 God is love. Love comes from God.  God's Love Demonstrated |  “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 Jesus Christ died for our sins, to restore our original relationship with God that we lost through Adam and Eve ’s rebellion in the Garden of Eden . God gives His love to us freely, as a gift, through our Lord Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross . He demonstrated, showed, proved, His love to us in this way. His love was an action, a verb. His love moved Him to action – to die for us, to save us from our sins and the penalty for our sins which is death and separation from God, but now offers us a way to salvation , to be forgiven and restored in right relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ by believing Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for our sins on the cross and God raised Him...
